If you’ve spent any time in Maplewick, you may have noticed Marigold.
She’s one of those people who seems to simply belong in the village.
Marigold has a gentle, thoughtful nature and a way of making ordinary things feel a little more special. She enjoys the quieter side of Maplewick and is often happiest when she has something small and satisfying to do.

She notices the little details.
The first flowers appearing in spring.
A pretty pattern on an old teacup.
A cat curled up in a sunny window.
The sound of rain against the shop windows.
And she has a particular fondness for things that have a story behind them.
Marigold isn’t someone who needs to be the loudest person in the room. She’s more likely to be sitting quietly nearby, listening to everyone else’s stories — although she probably knows more about what’s happening around Maplewick than she lets on.
There’s something reassuring about seeing Marigold around the village.
She’s a familiar face.
A friendly smile.
And perhaps one of those people you don’t fully appreciate until you realise just how much she adds to the place.
Of course, there’s still plenty we don’t know about Marigold…
And in Maplewick, there’s usually more to a person than first meets the eye.
