James is one of the newer faces in Maplewick.
He recently arrived in the village with his trusty Citroën, leaving the city behind in search of a quieter life.
Apparently, he needed to get away from a few dramas.
Exactly what those dramas were, nobody seems to know.
And James isn’t particularly keen to talk about them.
For now, he’s keeping things simple. A new place, a slower pace and hopefully a chance to start again without the noise and complications he left behind.
His Citroën has become a familiar sight around Maplewick as he gets to know the village and its residents.
James is still something of an unknown quantity.
He’s friendly enough, but there’s a sense that there’s more to his story than he’s letting on.
The villagers are naturally curious.
But Maplewick is a place where people tend to give newcomers a little time.
So for now, James is settling in, finding his feet and keeping his past to himself.
