Daisy is the village hairdresser and is one of those people who seems to know almost everyone in Maplewick.
Her salon is a friendly place where villagers come for a trim, a new style or simply a good old-fashioned chat.
Daisy loves her work and takes great pride in making people feel their best. She’s got a good eye for a hairstyle and somehow always seems to know exactly what will suit someone.
But there’s more to being Maplewick’s hairdresser than cutting hair.
People talk while they’re sitting in the chair.
And Daisy is a very good listener.
She hears about birthdays, celebrations, little mishaps, new romances and the everyday happenings around the village. She’d never dream of spreading gossip, of course…
Although she does seem to know an awful lot.
When Daisy isn’t at the salon, you’ll probably spot her in her distinctive little pink car, which has become almost as recognisable around Maplewick as Daisy herself.
It’s hard to imagine either the village or the High Street without her.
So if you see that little pink car pull up outside the salon, you can be fairly certain that before long someone will be leaving with a fresh new hairstyle…
